Bleach Mirrors High shows card combat, Zanpakuto customization, and three new Kubo characters

Bandai Namco’s BLEACH Mirrors High finally shows its hand. A new overview trailer — published as the closed beta window approaches — puts card-based battles, avatar and Zanpakuto customization, and three original Soul Reapers designed by series creator Tite Kubo front and center.
The mobile action game sits after the Thousand-Year Blood War arc and pairs familiar faces (Ichigo, Rukia, Renji) with dual protagonists Shirin Migishima and Shirane Sanari, also designed by Kubo. Closed beta runs July 22–29 (PDT) on iOS and Android; applications opened at Anime Expo earlier this month.
“For this project, I have been involved from the kickoff meeting and worked on the title, scenario, and character designs. As for character designs, I got so excited working on them and ended up doing more than what was requested.”
— Tite Kubo, series creator (Bandai Namco press release)
What the trailer actually shows
Unlike teaser-only marketing, the overview cut leans into systems: bankai unlocks, squad-building fantasy around the 13 Court Guard Squads, and cosmetic depth for both avatars and Zanpakuto. New squadmates Naru Jurinna, Giro Hando, and Maiko Tokishima join with credited Japanese voice talent — Fūka Izumi, Shōgo Batori, and Yū Sasahara respectively.
Kubo also sat in on auditions and recording sessions, and says the story is “partly related to the main scenario of the comics” — a meaningful hook for manga readers waiting for The Calamity, the final TYBW cour airing July 25.
Why it matters now
Mobile Bleach games have a long, uneven history. Kubo’s unusually hands-on role — logo, scenario, surplus character designs — is the differentiator Bandai Namco is selling. Forum chatter after Anime Expo focused less on gacha anxiety and more on whether the combat loop survives outside a trailer edit. The closed beta is the first real stress test.
