Take-Two’s Strauss Zelnick again locks GTA 6 to November 19 — delay rumors stay rumors

Take-Two’s Strauss Zelnick again locks GTA 6 to November 19 — delay rumors stay rumors

Every quiet week without Trailer 3 births a new delay theory. Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick keeps answering the same way: Grand Theft Auto VI remains aimed at November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The latest reinforcement landed in a July 17, 2026 shareholder letter inside a preliminary SEC proxy filing — not a Twitch AMA, an investor document.

What Zelnick is actually saying

Fiscal 2027 is framed as a “major inflection point,” with GTA 6’s mid-fiscal-year launch positioned to spread bookings across the year. Coverage from GameRant and others notes Zelnick has spent most of 2026 telling analysts the November 19 date is the plan — not a soft placeholder he expects to miss. Corporate filings still use careful “planned” language because lawyers exist, not because Rockstar secretly slipped to 2027.

“Highlighting the release date in an investor-facing governance document represents one of Take-Two’s most confident signals yet that GTA 6 remains firmly on schedule.”

What is still staggered

Single-player launches first on consoles. PC remains later — Rockstar’s usual optimize-consoles-first pattern. Online’s broader future is a separate conversation. Pre-orders are already live; digital pre-load is slated for November 12. Until Rockstar posts a delay blog, treat forum doom as entertainment, not scheduling.
